EAbrams Design Studio strives to offer their clients a solid foundation to continuously evolve their Web project.  We have worked with an array of clients in different industries to ensure that their target market needs are directly met and they harness a competitive advantage.

Below explains our process in producing a Web site.  Each stage is dependent on the clients interaction and success is monitored by their satisfaction.

Development Process

The development process at EAbrams Design Studio is an iterative process.  In order to achieve our project goals, we ask that the client is actively involved with each step.  These steps are:

  • Defining and naming of Structural Architecture
  • Creative input of Homepage and Subpage
  • Content Development
  • Testing
  • Final Site Review
  • Site Live

Structural Architecture

We will assist you in developing the following:

Architecture Structure – One of the most important aspects to a Web site is its ease of navigation.  We will assist you in developing the top tier level of links to the subpages, keeping in mind viewer attention spans, ease of accessing information, and prioritizing the information available to the viewer.

Link Names – In order to reach your viewer as quickly as possible, the naming of the links is vital in defining the information behind them.  We will review the bulk of information in each section and make suggestions for capturing the viewer.

Layout – EAbrams Design Studio will offer their expert opinion of what is best for arranging the hierarchy of links you would like to include on the site.

After completion of the Initial Development Meeting, a finalized version of the architecture will be presented to you for final approval.  Once this is approved, EAbrams Design Studio can begin design.  Any changes to it after it has been approved can directly effect or influence the outcome of the design and the project schedule.  Any changes to the architecture after it has been signed off on will result in hourly billing for any effects it may cause to the design.

Design Review

Following the Initial Development Meeting, we will present to you a document that will be the foundation to developing the design themes.   This is the designer’s interpretation of the information discussed in the Initial Development Meeting.  This will include the following:

  1. Logo and usage
  2. Specific fonts to use
  3. Imagery to use
  4. Style of Imagery
  5. Target Market
  6. Vision of the company

Once this section is approved, EAbrams Design Studio can begin designing the site direction.

Creative Design Process

Our design process is a funneling down progression with the client involved as much as possible.  In order to achieve this, we ask that the client have an open communication with the project manager during all phases of this project.

The design process begins at the Initial Development Meeting.  From there, we will produce 2 (or more if specified) custom design themes.  These themes will represent the company’s personality that was portrayed to us.  The goal of presenting multiple themes is to give a full spectrum for our clients to choose from. This will consist of a radical to conservative spectrum within the scope of the project, based on our Initial Development  Meeting.  We then will work closely together to reach the final homepage design.  From there the design motif is reflected in the subpages.

Iterative Design Period

We will prepare concrete ideas for the Theme Review meeting.  At this meeting we welcome all those involved in your company to this meeting to review the designs.  The goal of this meeting will be to have an open discussion of the design themes and to narrow down a design direction to proceed with.  After all your comments are collected, we will incorporate them into the design direction chosen.  The schedule permits multiple rounds of revision to ensure all your comments have been fully incorporated.

Once we have worked collaboratively on the homepage and have reached the final version, EAbrams Design Studio will create a subpage to reflect the same theme.

Content Development

EAbrams Design Studio will work with you to define the Site Architecture and will creatively place content on the subpages.  All content must be final when the homepage is signed off on and delivered in electronic format.  EAbrams Design Studio will give you the opportunity to make minimum content changes when you review the final site but any changes that effect the project delivery date will result in additional hourly billing.

EAbrams Design Studio recommends organizing the content as follows to ensure no miscommunication.

  • All Content must be PC compatible.
  • All Web page content must be provided to EAbrams Design Studio digitally, either on disk or via email.
  • All text must be either in a MSWord Document or as a .txt file.
  • Content must be delivered in its final form. Any changes to text once it has been received will be charged at the hourly HTML rate.
  • Images must be provided either as gifs, jpegs, or tifs. Any modifications necessary will be charged at the hourly Graphics rate.
  • Any hyper-links that should be incorporated into the site must be provided to EAbrams Design Studio in the electronic documents.

Testing & Review:

Final Review

Upon approval of the homepage and subpage, our development team will construct the Web site.  This process involves optimizing all images to ensure short download time and creatively placing all content.  Once all of the pages are linked together, your site will go through rigorous testing before you are asked to review it.  Pending final sign off and payment, the site will be live on the Internet.
